What We Offer

"Now It's Called Princeton: Songs and Poems of BC's Upper Similkameen

A CD of authentic Similkameen songs and verse, drawn from the pages of the valley presses, c. 1900-1950, together with songs collected by Phil Thomas, c. 1962.  The songs and verses reflect the industrial base of the area (gold, coal and copper mining; logging), the local railways (the Kettle Valley Railway and the Vancouver, Victoria & Eastern Railway), and the history of settlemnt in the area.

The CD was the work of Society members Jon Bartlett and Rika Ruebsaat as a fundraiser for the annual Traditional Music Festival.  It is available from the Society (through its website or by phone or email) for $20.
