A promoting lead is the identity of someone or company who might be interested in buying services or products. It’s the first stage of the selling process. The lead can have a business related to them. Free marketing leads frequently come from trade shows, advertising, or maybe rude, aggressive strategies like cold-calling numbers from your local yellow pages. Cold calls, incidentally, are not very effective.
Think about it-you don’t know who these people are, what they want, and they are not at all conscious of your service or product.
Contact info doesn’t become a selling lead unless and till the person behind the contact information has some categorical reason why they’d be more interested by your service than the person on the street. In other words, you have to know something about them. What they like, and as significantly what they need , especially if what they need has something to do with what you do or sell.
If you drop the words’free marketing leads’ in your search engine, probabilities are it’ll generate page upon page of hits. Probabilities, are nearly all of these hits will be pretty dodgy, from Multi-Level-Marketing schemes ( that’s the polite name for pyramid cons ) to ‘companies’ whose only purpose is to rip you off by selling you catalogues of free leads. Wait a minute-if they are selling you leads, then the leads aren’t free, right? You’d think. But apparently there really is a sucker born every minute.
Another kind of’free marketing lead’-one of those kinds that at some point in the chain, you may potentially be predicted to splutter up some cash for-is inventories of emails. Frequently the seller of the list claims these emails are pre-filtered to be relevant to precisely what you are selling. Often enough, this same seller sells the same list to each would-be marketer, irrespective of what that would-be marketer is really trying to market.
in other words, these leads have the proverbial snowball’s chance in a well-known, hot, upsetting place of ever generating sales. They’re fundamentally a way of cold calling. In other words, if you’ve always dreamed about becoming a spammer, this is the way to go.
Sales leads are, obviously, leads that can lead to sales. Selling leads are marginally different. These are focused leads that are brand-specific instead of product particular. What makes your brand special? Do people know what you do? How you do it? Who you are? Think about who needs what you do. This is step 1 in generating real selling leads.
Perhaps the best, most fair, most dignified source of free marketing leads is your own website. Folk who visit your internet site do so for a reason. If they visit more often than once, they are truly inquisitive about what you do, who you are, and how you do what you do. These are genuine free marketing leads, and about as precisely targeted as you might hope for. Are you going to follow up, or are you going to let them slip away?

One of the things that never ceases to amaze me about people who decide that they want to start earning money from the net for the first time is that almost every one seems to think that there is some kind of magical ‘secret’.

Treat it like a hobby, a ‘plaything’ and you are almost certainly never going to succeed.
Have the right attitude, and be willing to go the extra mile, and you are giving yourself the best possible chance of making it. And, despite what I said earlier about there being no ‘secret’ to online success, there is something that most of these successful people know, something that many of those who have failed are missing completely.That is that success in an online business is about leverage, and how to use it to make the most of the time that you have.
Let me give you a simple example to illustrate the point.
Say that you live in a big city and you teach people to play the guitar.That’s great, because there are probably going to be enough people in your locality who want to know how to play guitar to keep you busy earning money.
But, let’s say that you live miles from anywhere, that you literally cannot even see your nearest neighbor’s home. Who do you teach guitar to now?
Plus, even in the big city, and even if you give one hour lessons all day, every day, you can still only teach one person at a time, and can only get paid by that one person for doing so.
Now, if you were to start teaching guitar on the Internet, then you can solve your two biggest problems in one fell swoop!
First, it no longer matters where you live, or how many people live near you. As long as people have a computer and an Internet connection, then you can teach them guitar. Second, you can leverage your efforts, and teach ten or a hundred or ten thousand
people to play guitar, all at the same time!
And, of course, you get paid by each and every one of them to do so! So, you have multiplied my earnings power by a factor of several hundreds or thousands, without any more effort at all!
That is leverage and that is the big secret of making money on the Internet.
Over one billion people all over the world are now online. And, in theory at least, every one of those people could be your potential customer. So, can you begin to see how important leverage is? I hope so!
